Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins is one of the best books I have ever read. The entire book was a roller coaster of emotions and the movie was definitely none the different. It was absolutely and beautifully a 5/5 of a movie. From the start to the end, just absolutely AMAZING. Did I say that too many times?
Is that not the most beautiful Katniss picture you have ever seen? Well the movie, just the same. 5/5 from me.
I had extremely high hopes for this movie. I wanted it to be perfect. This completely blew my expectations. That aside, if you don't already know, this book is the sequel to the movie The Hunger Games after the book written by Suzanne Collins. Without trying to give away spoilers, I can try to say that this movie follows the events from the previous movie, and Katniss and Peeta are going on a Victory Tour. Before they know it, they realize that they are the rebellion's star couple, and with the 75th Quarter Quell approaching, they have a crazy amount of pressure lying on their heads with President Snow watching their every move.
Can we say amazing? Now, this was definitely a crazy book to turn into a movie. But did they do it? YES YES YES YES X 10. OH LORD. Firstly, the acting. Gosh, the acting was just beautiful. I can't spoil much but I can say that every character played their role perfectly. I can gush and definitely say that each was so committed, like we are at TheEverythingGurus (hey, a little self-promotion never hurt anyone, right? xD). The acting was beautiful. I swear Katniss cried 10 times and she did each beautifully.
Next, the pacing. The pacing was well done and I quite like the fact that enough time was spent on the Quarter Quell. I like the process of the movie, how the Quarter Quell is designed to help you learn about all of the different tributes as the main characters learn about them. And so, basically, it's surprising to them as it is surprising to you.
The set design, costume design, you can already tell is going to be beautiful if you have watched it's predecessor, The Hunger Games, but I can TELL YOU RIGHT HERE: THEY GET EVEN MORE GORGEOUS (Ahem a certain costume that might be posted here). It was so real and definitely brought the book to life. The characters actually felt like they lived in Panem, AH the beauty. I must learn to control my gush.

Can we say wedding dress? And a certain twist that I can't spoil here! AHHHHHHHH xD
LASTLY OH THE MUSIC. It just added to the heart-wrenching tale of anguish, love, and fighting for what you love. And that mockingjay tune comes back so beautiful. OOOOOO. I JUST LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT. AHHHHHHH. So please just watch it RIGHT NOW? xD It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
